Who We Are
Aurum Antiques ("we", "our", "us") operates this website and the buying services described on it from 72 Main Street, Crumlin, BT29 4UR. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the site or contact us.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you:
- Request a postal pack (name, address, email, phone number)
- Submit a contact form (name, email, phone, message)
- Upload photos with an enquiry where that feature is available
- Contact us through the channels shown on the site
- Send us items for valuation
We may also record technical and security information needed to run the site and reduce abuse, such as source IP address, form timing data, and security-check results.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Process your postal pack requests and send items to you
- Provide valuations and communicate offers
- Process payments for accepted offers
- Respond to your enquiries
- Review uploaded photos and attachments connected to an enquiry
- Detect spam, protect the forms, and keep an internal record of service requests
- Improve our services
Data Protection
We take the security of your data seriously. Form submissions are sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). We use server-side validation, anti-spam checks, and security controls on website forms. We do not store card details through the website, and payments are handled separately by bank transfer.
Website Providers
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and public form submissions are processed through Cloudflare Pages Functions. Security checks on forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile. Form emails are sent to us using Resend. Where we use an internal submissions dashboard, enquiry details may also be stored in Cloudflare D1, and uploaded attachments may be stored in Cloudflare R2, so we can track progress and respond properly. Admin access to internal submission tools may be protected using Cloudflare Access. We only use providers needed to run the website and provide the service.
Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for marketing. We may share the details needed to send a postal pack, return items, or complete payment where that is necessary to provide the service.
Cookies and Analytics
We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies on this site. If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled in future, it is designed to operate without setting marketing cookies.
Retention
Website form submissions, uploaded attachments, and related email records may be kept in our internal enquiry system for as long as needed to handle your request, manage any follow-up, prevent duplicate or abusive submissions, and keep the business records required for the service we provide. We aim to keep only the information we actually need.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data where applicable.
