How It Works
Most customers have cash in their account within a week of getting in touch. Here is exactly what happens at each stage.
Get in Touch
The quickest route is usually WhatsApp. Send a few clear photos and we will tell you whether the items look suitable and what the best next step is. If you are ready to send items in, request a postal pack. If you would rather talk it through first, give us a call or send a message online.
You are not committed to anything at this stage.
Pack and Post
If posting is the right route, we arrange the Royal Mail label and give you clear instructions. Pack your items in a secure box or padded envelope, then drop the parcel off or arrange collection.
Expert Assessment
We look at each item properly, not just the scrap value. Each piece is assessed by the right specialist:
- - Precious metals are checked for weight, purity, hallmarks, and current market value
- - Jewellery is assessed for materials, maker, condition, and any features that affect resale value
- - Watches are assessed for brand, model, condition, originality, and overall demand
- - Coins, medals, and collectibles are judged on age, rarity, condition, and current buyer demand
Assessment and reply typically take 24 to 48 hours. For larger collections it may be a little longer, and we will keep you updated.
Your Offer
We call you with a clear, itemised offer. For precious metals, we explain the weight and purity. For collectibles, we explain what is driving the value. You will understand how we reached every figure.
Take as long as you need to decide. Our offers are usually valid for 7 days, and there is never any pressure to accept.
Same-Day Payment
Accept the offer and we arrange payment by bank transfer, usually the same day during business hours. We send a confirmation email with a clear breakdown of what was agreed.
If you decline the offer, we return everything by Royal Mail at our expense.
Our Guarantee
There is no obligation to sell. If you decline our offer, we return every item at our expense.
Choosing the Right Selling Route
There is no single right way to sell valuables. The point is to choose the route that matches the type of item, the amount of effort you want to put in, and how much guidance you want along the way.
| What To Compare | Selling With Us | Selling It Yourself Online | Walk-In Buyer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best fit | Inherited items, mixed valuables, and sellers who want a guided process. | Single items where you are happy to research, list, pack, and manage the sale. | People who want an in-person conversation and can travel to a counter. |
| Your effort | Start with photos, or request a postal pack when you are ready to send items for a full assessment. We handle the assessment and offer. | You handle photos, descriptions, buyer questions, postage, and disputes. | You take the items in yourself and decide on the spot whether to accept the quote. |
| How value is presented | A clear offer based on the type of item, condition, and market demand. | You set the asking price and rely on buyer interest to find the market. | Usually a quick in-person quote based on what the buyer can assess there and then. |
| If you do not proceed | There is no obligation to sell, and declined items are returned. | You remove the listing or keep trying elsewhere. | You leave with the items and decide what to do next. |
